TAG:Lip Product Addict| TheUnanimousMolly

So I love a good lippie. What respectable beauty hoarder doesn't opt to collect an asinine amount of the product that goes rancid the fastest? Duh.

See below for a list of questions in case you want to play the tag game yourself and watch above for my answers.

Battle of the Stupid Expensive Basecoats

More than any other beauty product, nail base coats tend to get a lot of loyalty from me. Consequently they are one of the few beauty products I finish regularly.

That said, every couple of years a new base does the rounds on YouTube  or I feel spendy and shell out $10+ on something that promises to make my sad brittle nails, long, shiny and strong.

The only difference is, now there's two newbies in the manicure bowl (more on that later).

Can You Put A Price Tag on Meh?

This past weekend I was in the mood to treat my self. (#treatyoself) and I plunked down 30$ for a fancy new something from Marc Jacobs.  I already have the Starlet Palette and I do really love it even though I tend not to reach for it all that often.

As I was swatching in Sephora I gave the Shameless Bold Blush in the shade Irresistible a go and boy was irresistible more than just a name that day.

Makeup's Real Magic

On my recent Sephora jaunt this weekend I popped a lippy in my bag that was small town famous for me a few years back. When I was working in retail about 5 years ago almost every girl I worked with had a tube of the Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain in 03 Strawberry Kissed.

All these years later and I finally have a tube to call my own.

Jumping the Full Coverage Fence

The Laura Mercier Mineral Powder SPF 15. Stuff of Internet Beauty Legend.

It had been on my list for a while, I had done some DIY color matching and was carefully plotting a splurge. Then, last Sunday, gift card in hand, the day came. I am kind of loving it.

A Worthy Splurge

I got myself a sample of the Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cream about two months ago and was not dissapointed. Still, no matter how lovely and effective the cream is $55 is a tough pill to swallow!

After a generous gift from my old boss I figured now was as good a time as any to just give my skin some good stuff. New job stress is bound to take it's tolls after all... yes I'm justifying.

This stuff really is lovely. It's simply composed, incredibly hydrating, and doesn't clog my skin in any way. It is the first moisturizer I have tried that leaves me balanced and hydrated and applies comfortably. I highly recommend sampling this product if you get the chance. It may not be in everyone's budget but, if it is I would make it skincare priority.

My normal to oily skin has been SO happy since introducing this to the routine.

Mascara Cubed

I love it when drugstores run crazy 40% off sales. I always end up caving and treating myself to all kinds of things I don't need. My favorite thing to road test during a good sale is ALWAYS new mascara. Always.

Over the last month I've gotten a couple new formulas to try along with one new to me formula.

The results? Click through to find out.

The One That Everyone Talks About

The Origins Super Spot Remover. This one has been on my list for quite some time but in truth shelling out $15 for a teeny bottle of spot remover took some time to sink in.

So does $15 for .3 fl oz of product really work.

Baby Sister| Cindy-Lou Manizer

I may not always love EVRYTHING theBalm puts out but, their cheek products are by far the stand outs from their lineup. My Mary-Lou Manizer compact has been put through the ringer by much use and a lot of traveling.

When I saw a brand new peachy shade popping up for release this spring I knew I would be adding Cindy-Lou Manizer to my collection sooner rather than later.

Sun Protection For Your Nails?

I came across this Formula X Neon Top Coat in Sephora last Thursday and was immediately drawn into the notion of a Top Coat that made your nail color stay truer longer was a neat idea.

If you have used Seche Vite or any other top coat product that claims to be quick drying then you'll know that as the polish wears on, it very often discolors and becomes somewhat dull after the topcoat dries.

But does a topcoat with added UV protection actually do the trick?

Bronzer as Blush

I do this post every spring. It's a little misleading because I kind of hate bronzer.

That's a lie. I don't HATE it, I just feel like it doesn't do anything for my pale yellow complexion and the practice of applying it can just go so wrong so quickly. Sometimes I like to look for blushes that do similar things to bronzers but, never really commit to the bronzer itself. Until now.

I may have finally found a technique for wearing the elusive bronzer in my collection as a healthy warm blush flush.

Color Punched | Bleched Neons

Truth be told, I was a little dissapointed by most of Maybelline's Summer 2014 Bleached Neons Collection. Maybelline is the one brand that I will typically go clamoring to the drugstore for when people start to spot new displays.

The new Bleached Neons were a little different...

The Repurchase | Jack Black Intense Therapy Lipbalm

Over the last few years I have gotten out of the habit of reapplying my lip balm frequently throughout the day. It works on a similar premise as over washing your hair does...the more you reapply the more your lips depend on the balm for moisture.

As such, I stick to applying a nice heavy balm at night and try to keep a light weight but effective balm on hand for daily emergencies.

The fact that I've managed to even finish one before it went bad is reason enough to repurchase.

The New Favorite

I have been dying to try this NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer for what feels like EVER. I kept putting it off and putting it off. Finally, last week, I had something to celebrate and, when I found myself in front of the NARS flagship on Bleeker Street I knew the time was now.
