Wishlist: Korean Skincare Edition

Apart from the inaugural BB Cream moment that took the beauty world by storm about 5 years ago my dabbling in Asian beauty products has been pretty minimal. I've trialed a sheet mask here and there (meh) and my love of cleansing oils began with the DHC version.
So while my experience is minimal I have had something of a skincare revelation at the hands of a Korean brand.
So when I spotted the Sephora SoKo to Tokyo kit, pictured above, I knew this was a perfect opportunity to nab some much talked about products for a VERY fair $40 price.

In addition to the value set; Sephora has upped their Asian skincare selection and America website Peach and Lily has been gaining momentum across the blogosphere for bringing new Korean goodies straight to the American skincare loving public in real time.

There has never been a better time for a wishlist.

Crystal All the Things

I have been majorly jewelry obsessing over here this Summer. Ever since I started shopping to go on vacation I've been preoccupied with updating my wardrobe and investing in some nicer pieces to add to the line up.

No while the clothing arena is a little slow going right nowI've definitely developed a definitive preference when it comes to my personal decoration.

All the crystals and ALL the good vibes.

Capsule|Extra Glow

Now I love me a good highlighter. All year long but especially lately and, despite my laziness in the mornings, I have been making time to add a touch of shine to my daily face.

Especially because the warmer weather has made me extra uh,,,social...which means I am extra dehydrated.

Don't drink and make up.

#FBF: Zsa Zsa Ltd. Beauty Gift With Purchase

I have been dying to show you guys this little gem for weeks! I wanted to film a little video about it just to talk through what it is and what you get.  You can watch that HERE but I also wanted to include a little photo diary of this little vintage beauty gem.

This is a Zsa Zsa Gabor branded beauty gift with purchase. The company emblazoned on all of the product is Zsa Zsa Ltd. but a google search of said brand turns up nothing. It's just pictures of the woman herself caked in good old fashioned slap.

Check out the goods for yourself after the cut and if anyone out there remembers anything about Zsa Zsa's beauty venture please let me know. I am SO curious. If I had to ballpark this date wise I would say early eighties maybe late seventies. Ask your parents lol!

A Limited Edition 8$ Worth Spending

There was a time when my beauty obsession was so intense that if something had a "Limited Edition" label you could guarantee I would spend my money on it. Especially if it happened to be at the drugstore.
The thought process was something like "Well if I hate it, it's only 8$ and if I don't get it now I'll surely regret it." (Don't call me Shirley.)
The problem with that line of thinking is that you inevitably wind up with a lot of product you don't really love and a collection so out of control you don't know where to reach when doing your makeup.

So since learning my limited edition lesson I've become much more decisive about which items I'll shell out for and which ones get to stay on the shelf for other hungry collectors.
This weekend when I spotted the new Maybelline Spring Rebel Bloom Limited Edition Color Tattoo in the shade Black Orchid I knew it was coming home with me.
