Wishlist: Best of the Giftsets

October offers many things for beauty lovers to get excited about. 

Halloween makeup (obvs) upping your skincare stash for the cold, and last but not least the advent of ALL the Holiday gift sets. 

It's early yet but there are some really beautiful things floating out there in retail land and so you don't miss out I've compiled the best bang for your buck. 

Treat Yo Self

 So ok... I know we were supposed to talk about eye things but then over the weekend I did a thing.

I bought the Burberry Lip Velvet Lipstick in Oxblood because I can't help myself and because it's a beautiful, perfect, autumnal red. 

This is not my first foray into luxury lip products but it has been a long time since I was inspired to spend more than 30$ on lipstick. 

In fact I haven't bought much makeup the last few months anyway but when I found myself with a little extra cash to spare I went right for the lipstick display. 

Oxblood is the color they used in their most recent runway show and has since been dubbed the brand's "signature color".

Holding Out for $2 Perfection

I have spent nearly a year and a half with various postcards, posters and prints haphazardly taped to walls in a holding pattern just waiting for the perfect frames. 

Yes...yes I am a little bit picky I will admit but, the last place I anticipated finding the perfect addition to the collection was the new to New York Flying Tiger flagship.

The best part?

They were 2$.

Good Smells| White Sandalwood

I made a point of not asking for beauty gifts for the holidays this past year. 

I don't know if it means I'm growing up but, the way I see it, I'm a big girl who can more or less buy the makeup she wants whilst still caring for herself and her expenses. So this year my list had things like a cast iron skillet, down comforter and a plant that I can't kill on it. 

While the family came through on the list front I am so glad I had one friend who saw fit to ignore me. 

Sephora Does Your Birthday Right

This was not the post on the adgenda today. 

Whoops. I'm a day behind but, that's Ok. 

This is worth the mention.

Every year Sephora does a birthday gift for its' Beauty Insiders that they give out all year long.

Since this is my first year as a VIB Rouge I got the big daddy of Birthday treats (I'm a January baby.) and I have to say; this year they partnered with NARS and really, really knocked it out of the park. 

The gift contains two classic NARS favorites and one formulation that is new to me.

When Hard to Find Products are Worth the Wait

 Lately I have been lucky enough to score some much longed for beauty items, from hard to find brands, at really amazing prices.

While this occurrence is a rare one I think it's worth pointing out when the products you have built up in your mind end up being just as amazing as you hoped they would be. 

These two goodies really do not disappoint.

Gift Guides|The Stocking Stuffer

 I think filling my family's stockings is one of my favorite things about Christmas shopping.

It's a nice mix between buying your loved ones the little things they need and special little things that are just nice to have.

At least that's how we usually do it in my family.

Everyone's traditions are different but, I thought it would be nice to give you guys a once over of all the things I like to add to my family's stockings beauty wise.

Admittedly these are inherently more feminie gifts but if you have lots of ladies to buy for this could be helpful.
