Stepford Alien

I feel like every year I share a new pair of sunglasses on the blog. Last year it was a badass pair of colorful, mirrored aviators and this year we have June Cleaver meets Judy Jetson.

Now these are "inspired" by the Tom Ford Nastasya sunglasses that I first saw on Dara's YouTube Channel.

Now I love Dara and her recommendations but Tom Ford and my wallet are just not on the same page these days.

I think the number of selfies on my Instagram may have grown by 5,000% since I got these.
I am in love.

I think these sit perfectly in the midway between the feeling of retro and futuristic and they go along with my half-hearted rock n roll look any day of the week. I picked them up on eBay much like last year's pick but I did opt to shell out a few extra bucks instead of just buying the cheapest version I could find. ...When I say a few more bucks I mean $15 and not $4. Lets not get crazy or anything.

I did also plunk for a $5 case and it was all so worth it.

The sunnies shipped from California while the case came from Hong Kong and both of them are exactly how I imagined. The arms of the glasses as well as the skinny frame are made of a substantial metal or metal plated material. I love the quality of them and think the extra 10$ was well, well worth it.

The case was smart buy as well. It's a nice hard black case with a faux leather finish and the shades fit perfectly. Hopefully this will successfully avoid the issue I had last year where both pairs of glasses were trashed by Labor Day due to my throwing them around like they were bulletproof.

The only difference between these and the real deal might be the size. I'm not sure if the Nastasya's are bigger or if they appear bigger on the models' heads than these do on mine. I am not 235$ worth of curious to find out though :)
